Goalpara College Library provides following facilities and services for the benefit of user of the college:
Circulation Service: The Circulation procedure is automated using SOUL 3.0(ILMS) with Barcode technology.
Reading Room: The library has separate Reading Room. Students are allowed to read books, to prepare notes or project report etc. in the reading room during college hours.
Barcode Attendance System: Barcode based attendance system is used to count footfall of the users.
Internet Facility: Library provides free internet access facility to users is made available through LAN connected computers and through WIFI.
Digital Library/ Institutional Repository: Library uses D space software to create its own Institutional Repository (IR). Users can access resources from IR / Digital Library.
Library User Orientation: To introduce the new users about the facilities and rules of the library, library organizes a Library orientation programme.
OPAC/ WebOPAC Service: The holdings of the library can be searched using On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC). Web OPAC also is installed.
Reprography Service: Library provides photocopy facility also. A user can get the photocopy of desired documents on payment basis.
Membership of E-Contents: Goalpara College Library is a member of
N-LIST and also a club member of NDLI. Users can access 199500+
E- Books and 6000+ E- Journals available in the N-LIST database
and 87,867,329 + E- books through NDLI.
Library Notice Board: All the important information is displayed on the Notice Board for the benefit of the users.
Periodical Service: Selected printed journals, popular magazines and newspapers are available in the library. New arrival of journals and magazines are displayed regularly.
Career Guidance Literature: Our library has a good collection of books on competitive examinations. Up to date books are available for competitive examinations.
Plagiarism Checker Facility: Plagiarism checker facility is available in the library. This facility can be availed to Faculty Members, Students and Guests to check the similarity index of Academic writings.
UN/UNESCO Reading Library Corner: In this corner user can read books, pamphlets, or newsletters etc. which are provided by the UN/ UNESCO.
Book Bank Facility: Book Bank Facility is given to the economically poor and backward students.
