Red Cross Society
Indian Red Cross society is a voluntary organization to save human life and health. IRCS was established in 1920 under the Indian Red Cross Society Act. IRCS providing relief in times of disasters or emergencies and helps health and care of the vulnerable people.
The vision of the programme is institutional strengthening training and knowledge sharing through the establishment of a disaster Management structure, programmes for strengthening and expanding community based disaster preparedness in disaster affected areas.
Goalpara College Red Cross Society, a branch of the Indian Red Cross Society is established on 19th January 2021, in presence of State Secretary Mr. DigantaBujarbaruah and Mr. Sailen Das Chairman of Goalpara District Branch, Indian Red Cross Society. The meeting is attended by a good number of students and teachers.
The Indian Red Cross Society, Goalpara College Unit, Organises blood donation camp, health awareness programme, First Aid awareness programme, relief during disaster etc.
